A couple of tips before you start!

Our cubes are freshly frozen straight from the source. Please make sure to keep the cubes frozen after use to make the most out of your stock. 

If you use one of the cubes as an ingredient for smoothies, don’t bother and just get that frozen Spirulina in there and mix. 

For any other recipe, we suggest taking the cube from the freezer and letting it stand (in a small bowl) for a few minutes before use. The cube will melt slightly making it much easier to implement into the recipe. 

  • SIGNATURE SMOOTHIE

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    100 grams Mango
    Half a banana
    4 tbsp of Soy Yoghurt
    150 ml of Coconut Water
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    Half a lime, freshly squeezed 
    2 cm of ginger

  • SIGNATURE SMOOTHIE

    How to

    Cut the mango, banana and ginger into pieces. Put them together in a blender.

    Squeeze the lime in the blender. Add the coconut water and soy yoghurt.

    Finally add the spirulina and start blending until desired thickness.

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    1 frozen large banana
    225 g fresh spinach
    ¾ cup of almond milk
    1-2 medjool dates, optional, pitted
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube

    How to

    Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.

  • COCONUT SPIRULINA LATTE

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    ½ I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    200 ml coconut milk (or a plant based milk of choice)
    ½ cup ice cubes
    Natural sweetener of choice (optional)

  • COCONUT SPIRULINA LATTE

    Add a little bit of water to the Spirulina cube and stir. Pour the ice cubes into a glass.

    Fill up the glass with Spirulina and add a cold plant milk of your choice.

    If desired - add a natural sweetener of choice.

  • COCONUT YOGHURT WITH FRUIT AND GRANOLA

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    300 g coconut yogurt
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    3 tbsp fresh fruit
    75 g pistachio nuts
    1 tbsp chia seeds
    1 tbsp coconut flakes

  • COCONUT YOGHURT WITH FRUIT AND GRANOLA

    How to

    Divide the coconut yogurt over a deep plate. Add the I AM ALGAE cube and stir. Decorate with fresh fruit, pistachios, chia seeds, and coconut flakes.

  • SUPERMIX SMOOTHIE

    Ingredients for 2 serves

    200 grams of blueberries
    100 grams of blackberries
    2 bananas
    500ml of Soy Milk
    I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube

  • SUPERMIX SMOOTHIE

    How to

    Cut the banana into pieces. Add together with the blueberries and blackberries place into a blender. 

    Add the soy milk. Add the I AM ALGAE cube and blend until desired thickness. 

    Optional: mix with ‘Signature Smoothie’ for a double layer effect. 

  • COOL SMOOTHIE BOWL

    Ingredients for 2 serves

    2 bananas, frozen
    20 grams of blueberries, frozen
    100 grams of blackberries, frozen
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    A few Tbsp of roasted almond butter
    500 ml of plant based milk

  • COOL SMOOTHIE BOWL

    How to

    Cut all the frozen bananas into large chunks and put them in a food processor or blender. Blend until a thick and smooth ice-cream like mixture is formed.

    With the motor running, slowly feed the plant-based milk into your mixture.

    Add all the berries and spirulina and blend until well blended.

    Pour the mixture into two bowls and mix in the almond butter. Then garnish with some leftover blackberries and you can enjoy your cool and healthy bowl right away!

  • SPIRULINA MATCHA LATTE

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    1 tsp matcha green tea powder
    60ml hot water
    125 ml oat milk
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    maple syrup or honey (optional and to taste)

    How to

    In a small bowl, mix a teaspoon of matcha powder and a small amount of hot (but not boiling) water. Take the bamboo whisk and beat until the matcha is completely dissolved.

    Pour the matcha mixture into a mug. Heat the oat milk together with the Spirulina until it steams and then make the foam with a whisk or milk frother.

    In a mug, pour the oat milk over the matcha and add a sweetener if desired and to taste.

  • ALGAE CHIA PUDDING

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    2 tbsp of chia seeds
    3 quarter cup of almond milk
    100 grams of mango
    Half of a banana
    4 Tbsp of soy yoghurt
    150 ml of coconut water
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    1 lime, freshly squeezed
    2 cm of ginger

  • ALGAE CHIA PUDDING

    How to

    Combine chia and milk in a jar. Place in fridge to absorb overnight.

    Cut the mango, banana and ginger. Put them together in a blender.

    Squeeze the lime in the blender. Add the coconut water, soy yoghurt and Spirulina.

    Start blending until desired thickness. Pour the mixture back into the jar and enjoy straight out of it. 

  • GREEN SMOOTHIE BOWL

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    1 frozen banana
    1/2 avocado
    250 ml vegetable milk
    1 handful of frozen spinach
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    1 tbsp of almond butter
    nuts, coconut flakes, and fresh fruit of your choice

  • GREEN SMOOTHIE BOWL

    How to

    Mix all ingredients in a blender and pour into a deep plate or bowl. Sprinkle with almond butter, fresh fruit of your choice, coconut flakes, and some nuts. Serve and enjoy!

  • DETOX GREEN JUICE

    Ingredients for 1 serve

    2 apples
    1/2 broccoli
    1/2 cucumber
    2 celery stalks
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    2 handfuls of spinach

    How to

    Wash all ingredients. Cut the apples into quarters, and broccoli, cucumber, and celery into smaller pieces that will fit in the juicer. Add the Spirulina and spinach and press.

  • REFRESHING DRINK

    Ingredients for 2 serves

    4 cups of coconut water
    5 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice
    ½ I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    1 ginger shot
    2 lemons, sliced
    2 cups of ice

  • REFRESHING DRINK

    How to

    In a pitcher, combine the coconut water, lemon juice, Spirulina and ginger together. Stir to mix well.

    Fill up the glass with sliced lemons and ice and enjoy your refreshing and healthy drink.

  • OVERNIGHT OATS

    Ingredients for 2 serves

    1 cup of rolled oats, old fashioned
    1 cup of milk, of choice
    Half cup of greek yoghurt, non fat
    2 Tbsp of chia seeds
    2 Tbsp of honey or maple syrup
    Half tbsp of vanilla extract
    1 I AM ALGAE Spirulina cube
    Shredded coconut to taste, topping
    Fruits to taste, topping

  • OVERNIGHT OATS

    How to

    Place all ingredients into a large glass container and mix until blended.

    Cover the glass container with a lid or plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator overnight or - in lack of time - at least 2 hours. 

    Open the lid and enjoy straight from the glass jar the next day. Dilute with a little more milk or water if necessary.
